FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Funny Foods and Phony Foods
(Shelby Township, MI) – Dr. Karl Johnson, D.C. will present a special nutrition seminar about the current American diet on Monday, October 8 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Utica Public Library, 7530 Auburn Road. Today’s population is overweight and suffers from a multitude of food-related diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, and many digestive disorders. Dr. Johnson will address the relationship of foods to our health, especially the effects of milk, sugar, and trans fats on the body. Eating these “funny foods and phony foods” is risky to your health. Examples of these foods are margarine and other hydrogenated oils, white flour, white sugar, and the products made from these harmful substances — recently renamed “white trash.” Eating these substances or foods made from these substances is part of a lifestyle and can lead to body damage. The “how and why” of this will be discussed at length. There is no charge for this seminar; however, reservations are requested. For reservations or information, please call (586) 731-8840 or (586) 726-KIDS. ####
