Local Chiropractor Celebrates Holidays with Fund Raiser

This year Dr. Karl R.O.S. Johnson, Shelby Township Chiropractor and Clinical Nutritionist, invites the community to participate in his 17^th Annual Giving Tree benefiting the Extended Hand Christmas Food Drive, now in its 30^th year.  As part of his participation, Dr. Johnson is offering his clinic at 51735 Van Dyke (in the Stoneridge Professional Village across from the Shelby Township Library) as a drop-off site for donated items. 

                Requested items include non-perishable foodstuffs, toys, blankets, or cash donations to be used for perishable supplies and can be dropped off during clinic hours (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Tuesdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.) between November 27 and December 18.

            The Extended Hand Group includes many Utica Community Schools and churches as well as Dr. Johnson’s Chiropractic & Nutrition Wellness Center.  Extended Hand provides over 200 food baskets for needy families in Macomb County.

            “Our community is really important to me,” said Johnson.  “Our people have supported me over the years and this is my opportunity to give back.  In fact, this is the fourteenth year we have participated in this particular drive.  The baskets of food the group puts together help many of our neighbors who, for whatever reason, cannot afford adequate amounts of food for their families.”

Those wishing to learn more about chiropractic and nutrition are invited to become Practice Members at a special discounted fee.  For new chiropractic Practice Members, Dr. Johnson is offering an exam, consultation, and 2 x-ray views for $30.00 plus the donation (if needed, additional x-ray views at normal and customary fees).  For new nutrition and/or allergy Practice Members, the Consultation, Exam, and Heart Rate Variability Test are all available for $30.00 plus a donation.  Current Practice Members will receive a $10.00 credit on their accounts for their donations.
