FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Natural Alternatives to Ritalin September
20, 2000 Many
of our school children have been put on the drug Ritalin, which is a Class II
controlled substance along with morphine and other amphetamines.
These children need a better way; and Dr. Karl Johnson, chiropractor and
clinical nutritionist, will offer insight to this problem of the 21st
century at a special seminar Monday, October 9 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the
Utica Public Library. The
Surgeon General’s report stated, “Nutritional disorders account for the
majority of illnesses in the U.S.
Poor digestion, due to lack of digestive enzymes, coupled with an
over-indulgence of the wrong foods can lead to symptoms of ADD/ADHD.” Side
effects of Ritalin can include cardiovascular, central nervous system,
gastrointestinal, endocrine/metabolic and other challenges such as headaches,
blurred vision, dizziness, joint pain and more. There
is no charge for this seminar; however, reservations are required.
For reservations or information, please call (586) 731-8840 or (586)
