FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shelby Twp. Doctor Rides for MS SocietyKarl R.O.S. Johnson, chiropractor and clinical nutritionist with offices in Shelby Township, will ride in his seventh MS150 Bike Tour on June 12 and 13, 2004 with his own team and as part of the GM team. In addition to his many sponsors, Dr. Johnson will offer a special in his office for new chiropractic patients, which will be donated to the National MS Society. I view this as an opportunity to help people improve their health potential as well as help the MS Society with their important work, said Johnson. For a $35.00 donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Dr. Johnson will provide a preliminary consultation and health history, a chiropractic physical exam including motion palpation (to determine how structure may be irritating delicate spinal nerves); and 2 x-ray views (additional views are at normal fees, which most insurances accept). Adjustments are not included in this special offer. The MS 150 Bike Tour benefits multiple sclerosis, a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild such as numbness in the limbs or severe paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by the disease. Learn more about MS by visiting the Web site at www.nmssmi.org. For the past six years, Dr. Johnson has participated in the MS150 Bike Tour and has finished all races despite inclement weather and injured muscles. The MS 150 Bike Tour provides an experience that tests your strength, character, and challenges you to have fun, which is what draws me to it each year. Johnson added, This year I am making it possible for others to experience the benefits of chiropractic while helping those diagnosed with this dreaded disease. Anyone desiring to experience the many benefits of chiropractic can do so by calling the clinic at (586) 731-8840 or (586) 726-KIDS by June 11 and scheduling an appointment. ####
